On the way to the park

This weekend really felt like fall. The leaves are turning and it's much cooler outside. Josie, Josh, and I found a few minutes to play at the park late one afternoon. On our way, we stopped in the front yard to get a few pictures.

Josie's anxiously anticipating one of her favorite parts of fall - Halloween. The probelm is that she doesn't know what to dress up as yet. When Josh saw that Josie was wearing all brown he said, "Josie, I know what you can be for Halloween! A stick!" I love the idea, but Josie's not wild about it.

I drop hints about how cool it would be for her to go trick-or-treating as a stick. I told her maybe we could get Mama to sew a few leaves on to her shirt, or put some in her hair. I'm not sure that Josie will go for it. We'll see.

Anyway, we had a great time at the park. We took a soccer ball and I kicked it as hard as I could. Josie and Josh ran after it and kicked it back. We also played kickball, sort of. It's so great being around Josie and Josh.
