Music!

Josie began playing the recorder this year because she's in fourth grade. It's a district thing, and I love it. So does Josie. Next year she'll pick an instrument of her own.


She practices all of the time. She is so pleased with herself. She knows Mary Had a Little Lamb, Hot Cross Buns, and Gently Sleep. She plays in the morning, in the evening, between meals, and in the car. When I'm not around Josie I can hear these songs in my mind.
