We found a great spot at a local park (Mill Pond Park) that we just love. Over a bridge, in the crook of a small stream there is a small, tree-covered picnic spot. The kids can play in the water, explore the forest, climb the trees, or do whatever they'd like. We call it Josie's Cove because it sounds nice and the kids kind of think of this as their spot. Surprisingly, we rarely see other people there.
Here are Josie and Josh crossing the stream. They've created a "house" farther up the stream on a bank near where the crawfish live.
Josie loves this place. She always seems so serene. Here she is crossing the stream by herself.
It's always great to see them exploring together. At the right time of the year they can find frogs. That is always very exiciting.
