A few weeks ago Adam and Isaac had their preschool orientation with their teacher. It lasted about 20 minutes, and it made an impression. Later that day as they were playing at home Isaac said, "Adam, it's time to go to school. Let's get in the van." The two of them grabbed their school bags and headed out to the van. Mama had to tell them that it wasn't time to go to school yet. Isaac was heartbroken. I think Adam was relieved.
But today was the REAL first day of school. It's always so exciting! Isaac put on his elephant backpack and was ready to go first thing in the morning. On the way there Isaac tried to get Adam excited about school. He said, "Adam, clap your hands." Adam just looked out the window.
You can see Isaac's excitement in this picture of the two of them right before they went inside. You can also see Adam's trepidation. As we walked inside Adam looked up at me and said, "Don't leave me." Poor litle guy. I'm anxious to talk to them when they get home to see how things went.
