The First Day of School

Josie and Josh started school yesterday. Josie's in fourth grade now. Josh's in second. They were glad to be back. Josie wanted to wear all pink. Even pink silly bands and a pink bow. Josh didn't care what he wore. I tried to talk him into getting some clothes for school a few weeks ago and he said, "I have enough clothes." Fair enough.

Josh was happy that he got to sit by some good friends. On the first day he wrote in his journal about what he did over the summer. He wrote about going swimming and having Grandma and Grandpa visit.


On the first day Josie got to know her classmates. They walked around the classroom talking to each other, trying to learn different things.


We sat around the kitchen table that night talking about the first day. They both had a great time. We're looking forward to a wonderful year!
