"I need a vacation . . . "

Eric and I have been married for 7 1/2 years. In that time we have:


Had 4 children (starting just nine months and five days after marriage).
Completed two masters degrees
Worked at a law firm
Lived in Portland, Oregon, two apartments in Salt Lake City, with parents in California, and Ann Arbor (5 different homes--4 States)
Worked at 3 different High Schools
Taught 5 series of birth classes
Half completed a PhD
Survived various other experiences that have made life exciting (unemployment, homeschooling . . . )

It is no wonder we've managed to only go on 6 or 7 dates since we've married. And amazingly, we've managed to still stay madly in love with each other.

So it is not surprising that when Eric said, "I need a vacation . . . " I agreed. Sure, we've visited family a few times and even managed our first family vacation a year ago (one night at a water park). But we've been feeling it was time for a real vacation--just me and Eric (and two nursing boys) for one day away. We'll keep you posted on the plans . . .
